Don’t miss the annual fundraiser for the Mayo Hospital Auxiliary.
Saturday, November 12th’s Variety Show begins at 7 p.m. at the Center Theatre in downtown Dover-Foxcroft, and admission is by donation. Home-made refreshments will be on sale during the two-hour show.
Musical acts for the Variety Show include the Foxcroft Academy Strings, under the direction of Susan Ramsey and Ned Garner, which will play classical pieces by Bach, Pachelbel, Vivaldi and Mozart, as well as a traditional Chinese selection. The FA string program features musicians playing violin, viola, cello and piano.
Other musical acts include band members from Fishers Of Men, which mixes vocals with guitars, keyboard, saxophone and harmonica; and the Local Yokel Vocal Group, which has been entertaining in nursing homes and boarding homes under various names and incarnations since 1990. ~www.mayohospital.com
